I started volunteering at Art4Space after I joined a community ceramics project there in the
Spring. Previously, I had completed a six week mosaic course with Julie at High Trees
Community Trust, which I loved, and getting involved with mosaics at Creative Surgery has
further developed my interest.
Seeing some of the community art that I have helped to make in
place at their new homes has been an absolute joy. Additionally, I really love the atmosphere at
the studio and the wonderful people that I have got to know there. I’m returning to college in
September to study for an art diploma so I will be taking a break from volunteering but I’ll be
back during half term as I’m missing it already!
