I am Charlotte, a freelance artist. My art background is painting, jewellery making and textiles, but now you will most likely find me doing mosaic.
I came to Art4Space in 2018 and started volunteering. I was noticed and approached by Julie, the founder and director of Art4space, about an idea to have a product that represents Art4Space and their ethos. We came up with the upcycled vintage birds, my own enterprise.
Birds are a natural symbol of freedom which we encourage through the creative arts. The birds have become very popular over these last four years and I love making them. They are created using upcycled tiles, broken crockery or found objects. It’s always fun for me as an artist to come up with new ideas and each bird is so different and unique
We are such an amazing team of creatives at Art4space, and I am very excited to have the birds on display at the Urban Art Fair for all to see and enjoy.
