Art4Space are a leading community arts
organisation facilitating awareness, participation and ownership.
FOCUS: To provide schools or community groups
with a range of 3-dimensional animal sculptures, which capture the essence of
endangered species. Each animal acts as a blank canvas to engage participation
in creative activities that can develop skills, build confidence and offer a
greater understanding of citizenship and conservation.
AIMS:
To develop participants creative skills with an enjoyable ‘hands on’ arts activity.
To help
develop participants enthusiasm for learning about wildlife, conservation and
global, environmental issues.
To promote
creativity, conservation and citizenship.
EDUCATION PROGRAMME OPTIONS: Each sculpture arrives complete with a
cross curricular, creativity focused education pack. This resource includes
design guidance, worksheets and art templates as well as invaluable advice on
working in school clusters and using the sculpture as a way to fundraise and
gain media attention.
Option 1
Receive your sculpture of choice and education pack and someone from your organisation leads the project.
Option 2
Receive your sculpture of choice and
education pack and have an Art4Space artist/teacher facilitate the project.
Through an initial inset day the artist will work with participants on designs,
turning these into a final composition and transferring it to the sculpture.
They will also give choices of which medium to use and help organise materials
ready for creation.
Option 3
Receive your sculpture of choice and education pack and have an Art4Space artist/teacher facilitate and teach the project throughout. We will take on all project management and deliver the programme to a high standard, taking the participants through consultation, design, creation and completed sculpture. We will bring everything needed to make your project a success.
Choose between 3a - painted sculpture, 3b
- recycled sculpture or 3c - mosaic and paint sculpture.
Please make an enquiry regarding budgets. Projects vary from £90 (small sculpture with option 1) to £2850 (large sculpture with option 3c)
